Se la (non nuova) violenza ‘organizzata’, che vediamo diffondersi in vari Paesi, va condannata e contrastata a prescindere, ci sono giuste rivendicazioni che occorre ascoltare e affrontare culturalmente e politicamente e che nascono in un contesto globale di grande difficoltà in un mondo in radicale metamorfosi. La violenza è fenomeno complesso e si salda, in maniera pericolosa, con un disagio crescente nel tempo turbo-tecnologico.
Ha ragione chi pone la questione della mente usata come infrastruttura nella fase storica che stiamo vivendo. Anche da questo punto di vista, consideriamo come si sia aperta e si stia consolidando una grande questione antropologica: il tema sul quale concentrare attenzione strategica, oggetto della nostra ricerca su complessità e metodo umano, è l’uomo che verrà. Nel futuro già presente, potremmo dire l’uomo che diventa.
Il mondo è in metamorfosi perché lo siamo noi e un punto di grande evidenza della crisi degenerativa delle classi dirigenti riguarda l’incapacità di calarsi nelle profondità della condizione umana. In un passaggio di era, come l’attuale, a nulla valgono le analisi lineari e superficiali: serve un cambio di passo, il coraggio di affrontare l’innovazione della realtà (non solo dal punto di vista tecnologico) a partire dall’umano e dalle sue contraddizioni. Il cammino nella ‘magnifica humanitas’ non avviene su un rettilineo ma lungo strade tortuose e, soprattutto, non è pre-determinabile all’inizio del percorso perché è naturalmente incerto e ricco di emergenze.
Tutto ciò, che è a fondamento del pensiero complesso, oggi è negato da una dominante (non) cultura della chiusura autarchica, della contrapposizione esasperata, della separazione. E, molto importante, è negato da come (e quanto) noi subiamo una disinformazione che vuole confonderci, anche attraverso l’imposizione di verità di parte come assoluti: è tempo che le classi dirigenti, almeno nei sistemi democratici, ritornino a investire sull’integrità dell’informazione come elemento centrale in un dibattito che serva il bene comune.
Il lavoro è lungo e chiede, oltre a un pensiero che si ricongiunga con la complessità della realtà in progress, una critica del presente imminente, mediazioni per ricomporre gli inevitabili rapporti di forza e visioni storiche non futuribili. Serve una governance capace di leggere i trend globali e di anticipare scenari strategici: al di là della cronaca, il nostro terreno di ricerca è la storia, cominciando nel profondo di noi.

If the (not new) ‘organised’ violence that we see spreading in various countries must be condemned and opposed regardless, there are legitimate grievances that must be listened to and addressed culturally and politically, and which arise in a global context of great difficulty, in a world undergoing radical metamorphosis. Violence is a complex phenomenon and it fuses dangerously with a growing unease in our turbo-technological age.
Those who raise the question of the mind used as infrastructure in the historical phase we are living through are right. From this standpoint too, let us consider how a great anthropological question has opened up and is consolidating: the theme on which to concentrate strategic attention — the subject of our research on complexity and the human method — is the human being to come. In the future already present, we might say the human being in the making.
The world is in metamorphosis because we are, and a point of great clarity in the degenerative crisis of ruling classes concerns their inability to descend into the depths of the human condition. In a passage between eras such as the current one, linear and superficial analyses are worth nothing: what is needed is a change of pace, the courage to confront the innovation of reality (not only from a technological point of view) starting from the human being and its contradictions. The journey within the ‘magnifica humanitas’ does not unfold along a straight line but along tortuous roads and, above all, it cannot be predetermined at the outset of the path because it is naturally uncertain and full of emergent events.
All of this, which is the foundation of complex thought, is today denied by a dominant (non) culture of autarchic closure, of exasperated opposition, of separation. And, very importantly, it is denied by how (and how much) we are subjected to disinformation that seeks to confuse us, including through the imposition of partisan truths as absolutes: it is time for ruling classes, at least in democratic systems, to return to investing in the integrity of information as a central element in a debate that serves the common good.
The work is long and demands, besides a mode of thinking that reconnects with the complexity of reality in progress, a critique of the imminent present, mediations to recompose the inevitable relations of power, and historical visions that are not merely futuristic. What is needed is a governance capable of reading global trends and anticipating strategic scenarios: beyond current events, our field of research is history, beginning deep within ourselves.
