Afghanistan – The Taliban government in power in Afghanistan claims that ‘at least 400 people were killed and 250 wounded in a Pakistani air raid on a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul’: Reuters reports this on its website, adding that ‘Pakistan has rejected the claim, calling it false and misleading’ and stated that it had ‘precisely targeted military installations and infrastructure supporting terrorism’. Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban, claims instead that an attack took place on Monday evening targeting the state-run Omid Hospital and that “much of the facility” has been destroyed.
