Israel should not have permanent buffer zone in Lebanon: Rubio

(Al Arabiya) Israel should not have a permanent buffer zone inside Lebanon, the top US diplomat said on Monday, but added that the Lebanese army needed to disarm the Iran-backed group. “Israel has no territorial claims on Lebanon. There isn’t some part of Lebanon that Israel claims belongs to them,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said. “The problem Israel has is not with Lebanon.
