The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) hosted Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas.

From cyber attacks on our critical infrastructure to nation states that are more capable and determined to do harm to the United States than ever before, the range of threats facing Americans at home is far more complex and immediate than Congress imagined when the Homeland Security Act of 2002 became law.

Secretary Mayorkas delivered keynote remarks on the convergence of “national security” and “homeland security,” and explain the critical role played by DHS in protecting Americans and our national security interests from the threats we face today and those we expect in the future.
