The attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport killed 12 people and wounded over 300 others including some seriously, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said Sunday.
Four Saudi citizens, two Bangladeshis, one US citizen, one Egyptian, one Jordanian, one Syrian, one Palestinian and one Sudanese, were among those killed in the Saturday attack, the GACA said in a statement posted on X.
“The attack also left 309 others injured, including individuals in critical condition,” the statement said noting that all those wounded were receiving the necessary medical care at several hospitals.
The authority added that the attack caused property damage, the extent of which is being assessed, the GACA added.
