Iran has rejected the US proposal, describing it as ‘excessive’, and has put forward its own conditions for a possible ceasefire. This was reported by the Iranian broadcaster Press TV, citing a senior official. The official outlined the demands, which include an end to attacks and assassinations, guarantees against future conflicts, payment of war reparations, an end to fighting on all fronts involving allied groups, and recognition of Iranian authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
