Può sembrare un paradosso ma la vera liberazione, nel tempo che viviamo, è ri-trovarci l’un l’altro vincolati nell’umanità-in-divenire. Per la costruzione del destino planetario. Per questo, il titolo della riflessione è al plurale.
Non c’è una sola liberazione. Oggi l’Italia ricorda e festeggia gli 80 anni dalla liberazione dal nazi-fascismo. C’è molto di più.
Le liberazioni riguardano ogni ambito delle nostre vite.
Anzitutto, c’è la liberazione dal pensiero lineare. Occorre spezzare le catene di un approccio che ci ha portati in un mondo insostenibile dal punto di vista sistemico. Neghiamo sistemicamente la complessità che, se non compresa, rischia di travolgerci.
Poi c’è la liberazione da una politica senza visione. E non è solo questione di mettere l’uomo al centro (espressione tanto usata quanto abusata). La politica è minuscola rispetto ai processi storici nell’era della nuova ondata tecnologica, rincorre i fenomeni, si fa dettare l’agenda. E, non solo senza visione, le classi dirigenti praticano compromessi al ribasso in luogo di adeguate e auspicate mediazioni.
Ancora, c’è la liberazione dai turbo-tradimenti del capitalismo liberale. Ciò che vediamo oggi è la trasformazione del capitalismo nel suo contrario: e ciò avviene attraverso la liberazione degli ‘spiriti animali’ e in una non più accettabile, e rapace, concentrazione della ricchezza. Siamo a favore della globalizzazione che, se regolata, può aiutare lo sviluppo, l’uscita dalla povertà e la diminuzione delle disuguaglianze all’interno e tra gli Stati.
Infine, c’è la liberazione dall’auto-inganno di non voler prendere atto della realtà-che-siamo e che diventiamo. Perché siamo noi, sia responsabili che irresponsabili, a generare la violenza, la policrisi e la guerra mondiale a pezzi che ci attraversano. Siamo sempre noi, e va sottolineato, che possiamo liberarci e aprire strade nuove. Ri-trovandoci, proprio nell’era dell’intelligenza artificiale e delle tecnologie emergenti, profondamente umani.

It may seem paradoxical, but true liberation, in the times we live in, is finding ourselves bound together in humanity-in-the-making. For the construction of our planetary destiny. This is why the title of this reflection is in the plural.
There is no single liberation. Today, Italy remembers and celebrates 80 years since its liberation from Nazi-Fascism. There is much more to it than that.
Liberation affects every aspect of our lives.
First and foremost, there is liberation from linear thinking. We need to break the chains of an approach that has led us to a world that is unsustainable from a systemic point of view. We systematically deny complexity, which, if not understood, risks overwhelming us.
Then there is liberation from politics without vision. And it is not just a question of putting people at the centre (an expression that is as overused as it is abused). Politics is minuscule compared to historical processes in the era of the new wave of technology, chasing phenomena and allowing its agenda to be dictated. And, not only without vision, the ruling classes practise downward compromises instead of adequate and desirable mediation.
Furthermore, there is liberation from the turbo-betrayals of liberal capitalism. What we see today is the transformation of capitalism into its opposite: this is happening through the liberation of ‘animal spirits’ and an unacceptable and predatory concentration of wealth. We are in favour of globalisation which, if regulated, can help development, poverty reduction and the reduction of inequalities within and between states.
Finally, there is liberation from the self-deception of not wanting to acknowledge the reality that we are and that we are becoming. Because it is we, both responsible and irresponsible, who generate the violence, polycrisis and global war in pieces that are tearing us apart. It is always we, and this must be emphasised, who can free ourselves and open up new paths. Re-discovering ourselves, precisely in the age of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, as profoundly human beings.
