Proprio nel tempo del bullismo geopolitico, all’apice dell’affermazione del pensiero lineare, noi insistiamo sul dialogo e sul pensiero complesso.
L’umanità e il pianeta hanno bisogno di altro rispetto a ciò che vediamo ogni giorno. I media sono pieni di cosiddetti analisti che, in buona parte, si limitano a fotografare l’esistente, il presente imminente. Nessuna visione, solo tattiche peraltro al servizio di un caos non creativo.
La policrisi e la rivoluzione tecnologica in atto ci mostrano come le strade del futuro non siano più le stesse che abbiamo percorso fino a ora. Pace, giustizia, sviluppo e sicurezza vanno ripensate dentro la grande trasformazione che stiamo vivendo.
La crescente complessità della situazione storica ci consegna la responsabilità di cambiare approccio e vie di governo. Se ci vogliono classi politiche (ai vari livelli, nazionale, regionale e globale) in grado di incarnare e indirizzare la potenza della grande trasformazione, gli intellettuali sono sempre più decisivi.
Il pensiero o è dialogante o è imposizione di modelli pre-esistenti, cultura di guerra e di separazione. Mentre vediamo popoli sempre più colpiti nella negazione della propria dignità ed esistenza, altresì vediamo tecnologie emergenti che ci portano dentro mondi possibili, meravigliosi, impensabili fino a pochi anni fa. Mentre le tragedie e la policrisi colpiscono i più deboli e i più poveri del mondo (le tante Gaza), le tecnologie appaiono come un miraggio e sembrano dare possibilità a una parte del pianeta: tutto questo non è più sostenibile.
Le vie del dialogo, vie di futuro, devono ricongiungere le nuove frontiere della tecnologia con il ripensamento dell’assetto multilaterale e della diplomazia parlamentare e umanitaria nel quadro del diritto internazionale. Gli intellettuali e le classi politiche devono riconvertirsi al Patto per il Futuro lanciato dalle Nazioni Unite: se vogliamo salvarci insieme, non c’è altra strada.

At a time of geopolitical bullying, at the height of linear thinking, we insist on dialogue and complex thinking.
Humanity and the planet need more than what we see every day. The media are full of so-called analysts who, for the most part, merely photograph the existing, the imminent present. No vision, just tactics that serve to perpetuate non-creative chaos.
The polycrisis and the technological revolution underway show us that the roads to the future are no longer the same ones we have travelled so far. Peace, justice, development and security must be rethought within the great transformation we are experiencing.
The growing complexity of the historical situation gives us the responsibility to change our approach and ways of governing. If we want political classes (at various levels, national, regional and global) capable of embodying and directing the power of the great transformation, intellectuals are increasingly decisive.
Thought is either dialogical or the imposition of pre-existing models, a culture of war and separation. While we see peoples increasingly affected by the denial of their dignity and existence, we also see emerging technologies that take us into possible worlds that were unthinkable just a few years ago. While tragedies and polycrisis affect the weakest and poorest in the world (the many Gazas), technologies appear like a mirage and seem to offer possibilities to one part of the planet: this is no longer sustainable.
The paths of dialogue, the paths of the future, must reconnect the new frontiers of technology with a rethinking of the multilateral order and parliamentary and humanitarian diplomacy within the framework of international law. Intellectuals and political classes must reconvert to the Pact for the Future launched by the United Nations: if we want to save ourselves together, there is no other way.
