Health emergencies and blockchain technologies

In a world traversed by ever new public health emergencies, which are now a structural phenomenon, there is a need to look to the future of health systems.

The frontier, as highlighted by Pradeep Goel for the World Economic Forum (Is blockchain the solution for failing global healthcare?), is in the increasing use of technology.

The Covid-19 pandemic has put national health systems to a stress test. Blockchain technologies will help make systems more decentralised and flexible, able to respond more efficiently to crises that may arise. In addition to improving the circulation of data, it will be necessary to target investments at improving the efficiency of healthcare systems through technology.
