Visualizing Undersea Internet Cables (Morgan Stevens, Center for Data Innovation)

TeleGeography, a U.S.-based telecommunications market research and consulting firm, has created a visualization of undersea Internet cables around the world. The interactive visualization shows the location, length, and route of almost 500 active and planned cables. According to the visualization, the longest cable is 39,000 kilometers and spans from Perth, Australia to Geoje, South Korea and Goonhilly Downs, United Kingdom.
