(Nord Stream) Nord Stream gas supplies reach record 59.2 bln cubic meters in 2020 (TASS)

Natural gas supplies to European consumers over the Nord Stream gas pipeline increased to record-breaking 59.2 bln cubic meters, Nord Stream AG, the pipeline operator, said on Friday.

“In 2020, Nord Stream AG transported 59.2 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas to consumers in Europe through the Nord Stream Pipeline. The pipeline was utilized at a marginally higher level compared to that of the previous years, thus, the gas volume transported in 2020 represents the historically highest mark since the start of operations,” Nord Stream said.

“By the end of 2020, the pipeline had transported a total volume of circa 382 bcm of gas since Line 1 of the pipeline was commissioned in 2011,” the gas operator noted.

Nord Stream shareholders are Gazprom (51%), Wintershall and E.ON Ruhrgas (15.5% each), Gasunie and Engie (9% each).
