  • Reducing global emissions in accordance with the Paris Agreement would impact on global temperatures within two decades, according to a new study.
  • The new study, published in Nature Climate Change, shows that keeping warming to 1.5C would reduce the risk of “unprecedented warming rates”.
  • It’s authors stress the ability of strong climate action to bring about benefits within current lifetimes and not just far into the future.
