Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council chief Rashad al-Alimi launched on Monday Operation “Dawn of Yemen,” a day after announcing the start of military operations against the Iran-backed Houthi militia aimed at retaking the remaining territory under its control and restoring state authority across the country.
Al-Alimi said that the operation aimed to restore state institutions, liberate the capital Sanaa, and end the coup by the Houthi terrorist militia.
“With God’s help, the will of our people, the bravery of our armed forces and all military formations, and the support of our brothers and friends, Yemen will move toward a new dawn of freedom, peace and stability,” al-Alimi said in a post on X.
