Il messaggio che viene dalla realtà è chiarissimo: serve re-istituzione del pensiero. La fase storica che viviamo, per molti aspetti drammatica, è altrettanto sfidante. Urge fermarsi a riflettere.
Oggi più che mai dobbiamo immergerci nelle complessità del fattore umano, anche – e a maggior ragione – nel tempo della inarrestabile rivoluzione tecnologica.
Serve elaborare una rinnovata filosofia della storia. Ciò che accade ogni giorno, dalla policrisi alla guerra mondiale ‘a pezzi’, impone di percorrere le frontiere dell’oltre, peraltro già presente. Servono paradigmi innovativi, senso del limite, intelligenza visionaria, ragione aperta, identità dinamica, mediazione diplomatica, visione strategica.
Chi scrive avverte l’urgenza di trovarsi a un bivio: in gioco è il destino planetario, ciò che ci comprende e ci supera, nostra casa. Il destino planetario, al di là delle retoriche e delle propagande imperanti, deve essere il livello minimo di riflessione e di azione. Il mondo ha raggiunto una tale interconnessione, nello spazio-tempo quantistico, che tutto ci appartiene: l’errore più grande che possiamo fare, nella situazione data, è continuare a esacerbare le reciproche posizioni, radicalizzandoci in esse, alzando barriere (culturali e fisiche) tra noi e gli altri, continuando a pensare che gli accadimenti possano essere ‘classificati’ solo come locali, nazionali o regionali. Se non è mai stato così, oggi – nel tempo della trasformazione nella discontinuità – lo è ancora meno.
Oltre a superare l’inganno della separazione, dobbiamo lavorare sull’inganno della certezza a ogni costo, quasi elevata a dogma. Complessità impone unità nell’incertezza: solo così può costruirsi destino planetario, solo così possiamo ricongiungere l’umanità nella realtà vera, profonda, che ‘diventa’.
Separazione e certezza rischiano di diventare auto-inganni, imprigionandoci in un rischiosissimo circolo vizioso che noi creiamo a danno di noi stessi. Serve essere virtuosi dentro la storia, vivendo la verità come un percorso condiviso e la libertà come processo che comincia dove comincia quello dell’altro.

The message coming from reality is very clear: we need to re-think our approach. The historical phase we are living through, which is dramatic in many aspects, is equally challenging. We urgently need to pause and reflect.
Today more than ever, we must immerse ourselves in the complexities of the human factor, especially – and all the more so – in this era of unstoppable technological revolution.
We need to develop a renewed philosophy of history. What happens every day, from the policrisis to the ‘piecemeal’ world war, demands that we venture beyond the frontiers of what we known, which are, in fact, already present. We need innovative paradigms, a sense of limits, visionary intelligence, open-minded reason, dynamic identity, diplomatic mediation and strategic vision.
We feel the urgency of standing at a crossroads: at stake is the planet’s destiny, that which encompasses and transcends us, our home. The planet’s destiny, beyond prevailing rhetoric and propaganda, must be the minimum level of reflection and action. The world has reached such a state of interconnection, in quantum space-time, that everything belongs to us: the greatest mistake we can make, in the current situation, is to continue exacerbating our opposing positions, becoming more entrenched in them, erecting barriers (cultural and physical) between ourselves and others, and continuing to believe that events can be ‘classified’ solely as local, national or regional. If this has never been the case, today – in this era of transformation through discontinuity – it is even less so.
As well as overcoming the illusion of separation, we must address the illusion of certainty at all costs, which has almost been elevated to a dogma. Complexity demands unity amidst uncertainty: only in this way can a planetary destiny be built; only in this way can we reunite humanity within the true, profound reality that ‘becomes’.
Separation and certainty risk becoming self-deceptions, imprisoning us in a highly dangerous vicious circle that we create to our own detriment. We need to be virtuous within history, living truth as a shared journey and freedom as a process that begins where another’s begins.
