15 US senators for a comprehensive approach with Beijing

We find of great strategic importance the initiative of a bipartisan group of 15 US senators to create a China Grand Strategy Commission. Bryant Harris writes for Defense News.

The theme is to avoid a conflict with China by allowing the US to pursue its own interests.

The idea of a comprehensive, and complex, approach with Beijing is the right one. Words of war are not needed, quite the contrary. The time has come to reduce the increasing intensity of risk and to re-start using words of mediation in international relations.

Let us place this news on the plane of an increasingly necessary multi-bi-lateralism. Realism demands that we work to rebuild a political sustainability of the world. We do not have enemies but strategic competitors.
