Taiwan vice president heads to Honduras to work on shaky alliance (Al Jazeera)

Taiwan’s Vice President William Lai is travelling to Honduras to attend the swearing-in of the nation’s next president, Xiomara Castro, and shore up a shaky relationship with the South American country.

Speaking at Taiwan’s main international airport on Tuesday, Lai said he would bring supplies to help Honduras combat the COVID-19 pandemic to show support for Castro’s government.
