PLA experts describe DeepSeek not as a single product but as an evolving system architecture. They envision integrating this system across the PLA’s entire command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) chain. Debate is ongoing as to DeepSeek’s utility for PLA purposes. Some powerful institutions back its deployment, while others remain sceptical.
