Stock market: Europe follows Wall Street downwards

European stock markets worsen after a heavy start to trading in the US. Madrid is the worst performer, down 2.31% to 16,847 points, Milan and Frankfurt lose 1.85% to 43,775 and 23,351 points respectively, Paris loses 1.53% to 7,922 points and London 1.55% to 10,250 points. The spread between Italian BTPs and German 10-year Bunds rose to 80 points, with Italian annual yields up 11.2 points to 3.67%, German yields up 3.4 points to 2.87% and French yields up 9.1 points to 3.55%. Crude oil continues to rise, with Brent up 6.33% to $90.79 per barrel and WTI up 8.74% to $88.08.
