EU to send commissioner for Mediterranean to Trump’s Board of Peace meeting

(Gerardo Fortuna – Politico) The EU is sending Dubravka Šuica, the European commissioner for the Mediterranean, to Washington for the first formal meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, the Commission said Monday. However, the EU is not joining the initiative. “Commissioner Šuica will travel to D.C. later this week. She will participate in the meeting of the Board of Peace for the specific part dedicated to Gaza,” Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho said at a press briefing.
