Singapore and Finland have pledged to deepen cooperation on AI, quantum technologies, and digital infrastructure in a joint statement issued on 13 October 2026. The two countries aim to strengthen international AI governance through evidence-based policymaking, inclusive dialogue, and multilateral cooperation, while promoting the responsible and secure development of emerging technologies.
The governments have committed to advancing AI safety through international cooperation, transparency, and common standards. They also intend to deepen institutional partnerships, expand commercial cooperation, and support trustworthy, secure, and human-centric AI development.
