Yemen’s armed forces said Sunday they had carried out 1,732 strikes against positions held by the Iran-backed Houthi militia as part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, and said they had neutralized more than 900 Houthi fighters and destroyed or damaged hundreds of military vehicles and equipment.
In a statement posted on X, Yemeni military spokesman Col. Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaily said the strikes were carried out using warplanes, drones, field artillery and rocket launchers as government forces advanced along several fronts.
The operations targeted Houthi fortifications, defensive positions, command and control centers, observation and reconnaissance posts, artillery and rocket launcher positions, weapons and ammunition depots, and areas used to assemble fighters and reinforcements, he said.
