Russia’s Volgograd oil refinery stopped after October 2 drone attack, sources say

Russia’s Volgograd oil refinery halted crude oil processing completely on October 2 after equipment was damaged by a drone attack, two industry sources told Reuters on Tuesday.

The stoppage will likely exacerbate a fuel crunch in Russia caused by the attacks on refineries.

The regional administration, citing governor Andrey Bocharov, reported a massive drone attack on the region’s industrial infrastructure but did not name the specific facilities involved.
