(East Asia Forum) Indonesia’s mounting economic challenges are testing whether President Prabowo Subianto’s statist vision can deliver prosperity or merely deepen investor concerns. Growing pressure on the rupiah, public finances and foreign investment is exposing the risks of increasingly interventionist policies and resource nationalism.
