EU clinches deal to roll back AI restrictions

(Pieter Haeck – Politico) Restrictions on high-risk uses of artificial intelligence in the EU will be postponed by more than a year under a deal agreed by EU legislators on Thursday morning. The plan to delay a key part of the bloc’s flagship AI law received support from European Parliament lawmakers and EU countries after heavy pressure from industry and capitals.
