Don’t overlook how ordinary Iranians view the war

Shannon – Atlantic Counil) Limited reports emerging from Iran indicate that many Iranians had hoped the war would topple the regime, but these hopes are giving way to anger and resentment as civilian casualties and infrastructure damage mount. Despite growing frustration with US and Israeli strikes, many Iranians still strongly oppose the Islamic Republic but fear worsening repression, instability, and national fragmentation.
