Media reports: 54 supporters of Pahlavi arrested in Iran, 11 neutralised

Iranian police have arrested 54 supporters of Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Shah, who has offered from exile to lead the country’s transition. This was reported by the state news agency Fars, as cited by the Times of Israel, which added that “they were allegedly planning uprisings in the country”. A further 11 individuals belonging to what is described as the ‘monarchist faction’ were reportedly ‘neutralised’ during the operations, whilst two other people were detained on charges of spying on behalf of Israel and the United States and of photographing ‘important sites’.
