EU ambassadors have reached an agreement to extend individual sanctions against Russia for a further six months. The list includes over 2,700 individuals, entities and companies believed to be involved in the aggression against Kyiv. Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán – criticising the EU’s renewal of sanctions against Moscow – has stated that, as the Ukrainian oil blockade enters its nineteenth day, Hungarian experts are still being denied access to the Druzhba pipeline. Orbán argues that Brussels is refusing to face reality: Europe cannot overcome the energy crisis without cheap Russian oil.
