The Biden administration is facing growing pressure to tame skyrocketing inflation and other economic woes that cast a cloud over upcoming mid-term elections in 2022. If the Republican Party takes back even one chamber of the US Congress next year, Biden’s domestic “Build Back Better” agenda, through heavy fiscal spending, will hit the wall, and his legislative plan to tax the rich and aid the poor to narrow severe rich-poor inequality will also be thrown out.
