(China) China’s economy likely to power ahead at more than 8% in 2021, beyond

Wen Sheng writes for Global Times: China’s economy grew 7.9 percent from April to June, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on Thursday. The growth rate, lower than forecasted 8.1 percent by most market analysts, immediately draw major Western news media outlets to pour cold water on the world’s second largest economy, with some portending it will deteriorate further in the coming months and unable to compete with the US economy.
